DORAVILLE, GA. — Rangewater Real Estate will break ground on Camino, a 304-unit community in Doraville, 15 miles northeast of Atlanta. The development will feature micro, studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 474 to 1,411 square feet in size. Amenities will include a dog park and spa, pool courtyard, coworking offices with a dedicated podcast recording space, an outdoor grilling station, fitness center, rooftop lounge and a private speakeasy. PHILADELPHIA — SCOPE Capital Group has arranged $16 million in bridge-to-HUD financing for The Washington Apartments, a 72-unit complex in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood. An undisclosed regional bank provided the three-year, interest-only loan to the borrower and developer, Philadelphia-based Trinity Realty Cos. Units come in one- and two-bedroom layouts with an average size of 881 square feet. Amenities will include a fitness center, business center and a rooftop deck, as well as ground-floor commercial space.
BRIDGEWATER, MASS. — Capstone Communities and MPZ Development have opened The McElwain School Apartments, a 57-unit mixed-income community in Bridgewater, 27 miles south of Boston. Of the total unit count, 51 are affordable to households earning at or below 60 percent of the annual median income. Amenities include on-site management and maintenance, a dog park, playground, community room and a wildflower bee meadow. FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — Terwilliger & Bartone Properties has opened The Cornerstone Westbury, a new community in Farmingdale on Long Island, for residency. The first phase of the project delivers 72 units, with a further 58 units planned for phase two. Of the total unit count, 18 are set aside as workforce housing. According to the developer, over 1,200 applications were submitted for these units. Amenities include a rooftop patio, clubhouse, fitness centers and resident and events organized by community managers.

Price Realty Corp. acquired the asset from Allen Harrison Co. for an undisclosed price. JLL also arranged a seven-year loan through New York Life Real Estate Investors for the new owner. BROOKLINE, MASS. — Marcus & Millichap have arranged the sale of Beals Street Apartments, a nine-unit property located in the Boston suburb of Brookline. Matthew Pierce of Marcus & Millichap’s Boston office marketed the property on behalf of the seller, an individual/personal trust, and procured the buyer, an LLC. Constructed in 1909, Beals Street Apartments six two-bedroom units and three studio apartments. The 12,280-square-foot asset sold for $5.3 million.
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. — Cityview and Stockbridge have broken ground on Apollo, a 265-unit development in Los Angeles’ South Bay area. Two long-term lenders of Cityview, City National Bank and Banc of California provided construction financing for the project. Apartments at Apollo will come in studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Planned amenities include a pool, co-working center, fitness center, courtyards, entertainment lounge, and a community room with a kitchen for community-hosted cooking classes. GEORGETOWN, TEXAS — NexMetro Communities has begun the development of Avilla Berry Creek, a 25-acre build-to-rent complex in the Austin, Texas suburb of Georgetown. Mosaic is the general contractor for the project. Avilla Berry Creek comprises 224 single-family detached homes and duplexes. Units come in one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Amenities include a pool and clubhouse, community garden and a dog park. The total development cost of the project is $66 million.
