ATLANTA — CIM Group and Centennial Yards Co. have opened The Mitchell, a 19-story luxury high-rise, which is also the first ground-up building completed within the $5 billion Centennial Yards mixed-use development in Atlanta. An earlier project, The Lofts at Centennial Yards South, was built above an existing brewery.
The Mitchell, located at 250 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW, offers studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Some units feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city. Amenities include a pool, a fitness center, coworking spaces, outdoor gathering areas, indoor event spaces with a catering kitchen, a pet park and spa and 16,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, 4,730 of which is occupied by Khoa Thai Isan, a Thai tapas restaurant.
The property is adjacent to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and will overlook the entertainment district at Centennial Yards, a 50-acre site still under development. Plans call for 8 million square feet of commercial and residential uses. Centennial Yards Co. was created by the CIM Group to act as owner and master developer of Centennial Yards. A 292-key Hotel Phoenix is scheduled to open later this year.
