RICHMOND, TEXAS — Locally based Read King and Austin, Texas-based Wayfinder Real Estate have begun construction of Verbena at Waterview in Richmond, 30 miles southwest of Houston. The joint venture anticipates delivering the clubhouse and first units by the third quarter of 2026 with full build out slated for July 2027.
Verbena at Waterview is situated on approximately 14 acres within the 134-acre Waterview Town Center retail destination. The community will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom units featuring balconies, patios or yards and such amenities as a resort-style pool, a fitness center and sauna, a pickleball court, two dog parks, a putting green, a game room and a library with coworking space. The project represents one of the final phases of Waterview Town Center and the third project for Read King and Wayfinder. The duo previously developed The Waterview at 19525 W. Bellfort St., which opened in 2022 and is also part of Waterview Town Center. After Verbena’s completion, approximately 4 acres of the original land will remain.
The project team consists of general contractor OHT Partners, architect Meeks + Partners, civil engineer Quiddity, structural engineer United Structural Consultants, landscape architect Norris Design, interior designer Davies Collaborative and MEP consultant HGE Consulting. Weathertight Consulting is providing waterproofing services.
