RKW Tapped to Manage Atlanta Property, Hires New Regional Manager

DULUTH, GA — Westplan has selected third party management firm RKW Residential to lease and manage Accent Suwanee Creek near Atlanta. The 253-unit property is made up of one-, two- and three-bedroom units. RKW also has hired Sean Shalpan, formerly a regional manager with Greystar, to support RKW’s growth throughout Georgia. RKW is headquartered in Charlotte with regional offices in Miami, Orlando, Florida, Atlanta and Raleigh, North Carolina. The company manages approximately 30,000 multifamily and build-to-rent units in eight states.

US Justice Department Adds Six Landlords to Rental Price-Fixing Lawsuit

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Justice Department (DOJ), along with 10 state attorneys general, has filed an amended complaint in its antitrust lawsuit against RealPage. The complaint targets six of the nation’s largest property managers, alleging that the companies used RealPage’s pricing algorithms to share sensitive data and coordinate pricing strategies, which the DOJ states resulted in artificially inflated rents. Arden Group Opens 22-Story Mixed-Use Community in Manhattan

NEW YORK CITY — Philadelphia-based development and investment firm Arden Group has opened Forty-Six Fifty, a 22-story mixed-use development situated at 4650 Broadway in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan. Handel Architects designed the building. Forty-Six Fifty consists of 222 apartments in studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans. Thirty percent of units are subject to undisclosed income restrictions. Amenities include a fitness center, resident lounge, screening room and children’s play area. The property also includes 120,000 square feet of commercial space that is leased to a charter school and supermarket.

BB Living Opens 164-Unit Build-to-Rent Community Near Tampa, Florida

TAMPA, FLA. — BB Living has opened Epperson Ranch, a 164-unit build-to-rent community located at 31921 Conchshell Sail St. in Wesley Chapel, roughly 25 miles north of Tampa. The complex offers three- and four-bedroom townhomes that range from 1,639 to 1,944 square feet. Amenities include a fitness center, pool and spa, dog park and walking trails. Epperson Ranch is the second community in Florida that BB Living has completed, with three more properties underway that are slated to open in 2025.
