ORLANDO, FLA. — Capstone Building Corp., a Birmingham, Alabama-based general contractor, has begun building The Gateway in Orlando. Hollywood, Florida-based JBL Development is the developer, and Baker Barrios is the architect. The 417,000-square-foot project will include 270 apartments in one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans as well as studios and junior one-bedrooms. Units will be equipped with stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, LED-backlit vanity mirrors and tile showers with glass doors and tile tub surrounds. Amenities consist of a heated saltwater pool with private cabanas, outdoor kitchens and fire pits, indoor and outdoor coworking lounges, fitness center with outdoor fitness equipment, pickleball court, dog park and pet spa and a clubhouse featuring a restaurant and bar, market, kitchen and leisure spaces. Completion is slated for late 2027.
