Ascendant Development Breaks Ground on Haven at Treeline in Houston

TOMBALL, TEXAS — Locally based Ascendant Development has started construction of the 231-unit Haven at Treeline in Tomball, Texas, approximately 35 miles northwest of downtown Houston. The garden-style community will begin pre-leasing in summer 2024. Treeline at Tomball will consist of seven three-story buildings housing one- and two-bedroom floor plans ranging from 670 to 1,274 square feet. Amenities will include a clubhouse, fitness center with a yoga and spin room, a dog park, game room and a saltwater pool.

TDC, PCCP Will Develop 394-Unit Atlas Project Near Phoenix

MESA, ARIZ. — A joint venture between Los Angeles-based real estate investment management company PCCP and Houston-based The Dinerstein Cos. (TDC) will break ground in July on Atlas Mesa, located about 27 miles east of Phoenix. Completion is scheduled for late 2025. Project costs were not disclosed. According to PCCP and TDC, the property will be LEED certified. Atlas Mesa will offer 394 units in studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans ranging from 562 to 1,394 square feet. BESSEMER CITY, N.C. — WinnCompanies has broken ground on an affordable-housing, adaptive reuse project that is converting a mill building, constructed in 1896, into 139 apartments in Bessemer City, which is approximately 29 miles west of Charlotte, North Carolina. The $35 million project will provide units for tenants earning 60 percent or less of area median income (AMI). The 250,000-square-foot Osage Mill building has been vacant since 1995. Financing is supported by tax-exempt bonds from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) that were issued by the Gastonia Housing Authority. …

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — A partnership between two Chicago-based investment firms, 3L Real Estate and Syndicated Equities, has purchased The Oncor, a 314,514-square-foot office building in downtown Fort Worth. The new ownership plans to convert the building into a 330-unit multifamily community with Class A amenities, including a pool, fitness center,  rooftop deck and a business center. The seller and sales price were not disclosed. A construction timeline was also not released.

JEFFERSON, N.J. — Locally based developer Diversified Properties has acquired two lots totaling 9.8 acres in the Northern New Jersey community of Jefferson for the construction of a new multifamily project.
