PORTLAND, ORE. — Northwest Housing Alternatives has opened Emmons Place, a 146-unit affordable housing community in the historic Alphabet District of Portland. Emmons Place is available to households earning at or below 60 and 30 percent of the area median income. Priority populations include communities of color, individuals with disabilities and seniors exiting homelessness who will receive Permanent Supportive Housing services through the Northwest Pilot Project, which connects low-income seniors to affordable housing. The Portland Housing Bureau allocated $19.7 million from the Portland Housing Bond to the project’s development.

Anacapa Canyon in Camarillo, California

CAMARILLO, CALIF. — Kennedy Wilson is nearing completion of Anacapa Canyon, a 32-acre master-planned development in the southern California city of Camarillo. Anacapa Canyon will comprise 310 market-rate units, as well as 170 income-restricted units for senior citizens. The affordable seniors housing units are fully preleased to qualified renters. Anacapa Canyon will also feature 109 for-sale, single-family homes. Planned amenities include multiple pools and spas, a community garden, game room, event lounge, fitness center, dog parks and green spaces. The first move-ins are underway. GREAT FALLS, MT. — Community Preservation Partners (CPP), an affordable housing rehabilitation company, has acquired two developments in Great Falls: Sunshine Village and Broadview Manor East & West. CPP, in partnership with The Hampstead Cos., acquired the communities for $10.6 million. The development team plans to conduct $12.8 million in renovations for the two projects. The properties will remain affordable to households earning 50 percent and 60 percent of the area median income until 2074. Sunshine Village is a 72-unit senior’s community. ALBANY, N.Y. — New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has announced that the State of New York will provide $406 million in financing to deliver approximately 800 new affordable housing units across the state. The financing will be awarded through bonds and subsidies. The New York Division of Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) provided financing for the five developments, which comprised $286 million in tax-exempt housing bonds and $120 million in subsidies.
